This study is realised in order to determine if what these thematics transmit corresponds to some extent with reality. The findings show that after the film, there is a great work of documentation at the time of building the characters in a responsable and exhaustive manner. |

En este trabajo se aborda la película Mommy (2014) realizada por Xavier Dolan a través de un análisis de contenido, usando técnicas cualitativas, para averiguar cómo están representados algunos términos de la psicología: el trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad, las conductas agresivas y antisociales, la relación madre-hijo, la comorbilidad con trastornos afectivos y la representación estereotipada de la institución psiquiátrica. Se realiza este estudio para determinar si lo que transmiten estas temáticas se corresponde en cierta medida con la realidad. Las conclusiones extraídas muestran que hay tras el film un gran trabajo de documentación a la hora de construir los personajes de manera responsable y exhaustiva.
