El día lunes 4 de enero del 2016, el psicólogo peruano Ernesto Pollitt, falleció en Lima a los 77 años de edad, su obra y su memoria sin embargo, quedan con nosotros. Ernesto Pollitt se ha dedicado durante 40 años de su vida a la investigación de las consecuencias de la desnutrición en el desarrollo psicológico de los niños y niñas de diversas partes del mundo, incluyendo el Perú. Su trabajo ha permitido abrir nuevas líneas de investigación en el país y el mundo, y ha promovido la implementación de diversos programas de ayuda social en el Perú.
