La investigación acerca de la historia de la psicología en Chile, y en muchos otros países latinoamericanos, tiene en los últimos años un vertiginoso desarrollo. Expresión de ello es la copiosa literatura que desde los primeros años del nuevo siglo viene publicándose sobre el tema en el país sureño (Laborda & Quezada, 2010; Luco, 2010; Rodriguez & Villegas, 2007; Salas & Lizama, 2013; Villegas & Rodríguez, 2005; Winkler, 2007). En este contexto se revisa y comenta la publicación Raíces de la Psicología Científica en Chile (Salas, 2015), como parte de su línea de trabajo en historia de la psicología, cuyos resultados se ven reflejados en numerosos artículos sobre el tema y en los libros.
