Description
Summary:The work aims to review a possible link between memory, archive and technology. These ideas are considered in the light of some canonical theoretical references and other contemporaries, closest to the current challenges. It thinks reflects the value of using ICT for the construction and circulation of cultural, public and private archives, both visible artifacts in memory policy. Work also reflects the limits of the archival and the condition of possibility of the development of archives in the Digital Age; and the supposed advantages over analog archives. This confrontation positions the paradoxical relationship that current and future technology promises, in the center of the discussion: while opening dazzling horizons, marks boundaries between what is desirable and what is possible, and requires communities that own that technology to use it actively and sustainably.
