Summary:The relevance of education, namely the education of children, during the period of the installation of Republic in Portugal, in 1910, takes on a particular role that moves many authors, such as doctors, educators, professors and politicians. It was believed that all (the social problems) could be arranged through school-education, forgetting the individual and social factors (out of control). Among others, Faria de Vasconcelos is a portuguese that stands out in Portugal, in the rest of Europe and in Latin America. In line with republican reforms, advocates education for all, and implements numerous projects, of which we report here the twelve lessons of pedagogy and pedology, in the spirit of Escola Nova, that lead to the foundation of the Bierges-les-Wavre school (Belgium) which makes history in psychology. His lessons portray great critical knowledge of psychological’ thesis of the first decades of XXth century, become themselves a testimony of psychology and pedagogy. We also report his contribution to adult education, as innovative and representing the urgency to accomplish a reform of Portuguese mentality, throughout education.Key Words:
