El presente trabajo describe los inicios de las investigaciones de corte psicológico en la ciudad de Córdoba, específicamente las llevadas a cabo en dos institutos: el Instituto de Investigación Médica Mercedes y Martín Ferreyra, y el CINTRA (Centro de Investigaciones y Transferencia en Acústica). Con el objetivo de conocer como fue el proceso que posibilito el ingreso de la psicología a los campos de la investigación experimental, se realizó una investigación exploratoria con diseño de estudio de casos, y las técnicas utilizadas para la recolección de datos fueron la revisión de documentos históricos y la realización de entrevistas en profundidad a personas relacionadas con ambos institutos. Se puede concluir que la participación del psicólogo en investigación surge del trabajo interdisciplinario, lo cual permitió el inicio y la posterior consolidación de líneas de investigación en esta área.
