Summary:The new 1990s not only the basis for a new vision of the services for people suffering from mental illness but the emergence of a new concept in the field of mental health, Recovery settle. Despite the absence of an explicit consensus on the meaning of recovery, this concept is increasingly appreciated in policies and practices in health care systems of public mental health field. Recovery requires a paradigm shift in our thinking as researchers, managers, program director, service providers, and consumers of mental health services. The study of mental health recovery and development of measuring instruments are current issues. In the field of research it is interesting to note the great interest generated by the possibility of measuring the recovery, contributing to the expansion of knowledge. Recovery measures include instruments that measure some aspect of it, for example, attitudes, vision among others.
