The nineties in Argentine were characterized by deep transformations that we can summarize in: opening of the economy and deregulated market. These reforms called Modernization were not reflected in developing and general wellbeing of population; on the contrary, since a few years ago we can observe an important impoverishment that affects many sectors of our country. This situation has installed the poverty as subject of debate and discussion. This research does not try to measure the poverty in our country, but to investigate the variables that characterize it, making a comparison between the beginning and the end of the nineties decade, that allows us to observe if the poor households in 1991 present the same characteristics or not as the poor households in 2001. The used methodology belongs to multidimensional exploratory statistic and it combines factorial analysis and cluster analysis. The data base used is Household Tracking Survey, in particular the one related to Grand Córdoba. La década del 90 en la Argentina se caracteriza por profundas reformas estructurales que se reflejan en dos grandes aspectos: apertura de la economía y desregulación del mercado. Esta transformación, no se refleja en el desarrollo y bienestar general de la población sino mas bien en un proceso de empobrecimiento, instalando la pobreza como eje de discusión y debate. En este trabajo se buscan las variables que caracterizan este fenómeno y realizar una comparación entre principios y finales de la década para determinar si los hogares presentan las mismas características o no en ambos años de estudio. Se combina análisis factorial con análisis de clasificación y se trabaja con la base de datos Encuesta Permanente de Hogares (aglomerado Gran Córdoba) |
