Jean Tirole
Jean Tirole (born 9 August 1953) is a French economist who is currently a professor of economics at Toulouse 1 Capitole University. He focuses on industrial organization, game theory, banking and finance, and psychology. In particular, he focuses on the regulation of economic activity in a way that does not hinder innovation while maintaining fair rules.In 2014, he received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his analysis of market power and regulation.
