Stanley Moore (professor)

Stanley Williams Moore (July 24, 1914 – December 5, 1997) was an American professor of philosophy, specializing in the study of Karl Marx. He taught at Reed College until 1954, when he was subpoenaed by the House Un-American Activities Committee and refused to answer questions about his political beliefs. He was fired by the college and worked part-time for Barnard College for the next decade, before being offered a full-time position with the University of California, San Diego. Provided by Wikipedia
